: .... facts are facts ... if you can't afford a top of the line performance tire you can justify that however you choose .... for street driving? thats like using a shotgun to paint a barn. 'mod for a purpose'
:but, I defy you to find 1 post where I recommended the "most expensive" tire available ..... bueller, .... bueller,... :now all tire companies make some good tire and some not so good tires .... Kumho included but, their entry level tires are just that entry level which means inexpensive and not top shelf performance .... but the Ecsta MX is a very good performing tire and the VictoRacer R-compound is very good as well but, even in those cases there are better available .... again... there needs to be the distinction of track versus street... which you sorta did. :quit being an .... well, be who you are i've always been a realist... and for your information, i'm running sumitonas... I actually spun out on the free way at 60mph 3 days after buying them (it felt like my tires were under pressure wheelbarrow tires, but they were up to pressure)... well, after that, the tires tended to 'seat in' a bit and they were good tires... but now, after 6 months they cannot be balanced... hmmm. (and the rears are almost bald!). Anyway... economics my man... mod for a purpose... not because Luke tells me what I should buy (or nixit).
